Technology in Education

Technology is expanding, going wide in every corner. My question for this time "Is technology helping in Educating Kids ?"

Learn values which will show you path to destiny.

After going through many articles and discussions about technology in education, I felt something interesting which I want to share it here.

I feel primary and middle school are the places where students should learn with the help of guidelines given by trained teachers, also thinking, participating in every class. They even should learn what are the minimum values to develop their personal skills.

In a article head master said we encourage student to learn by their own. I feel till middle school their observing, learning and writing skills will be starting level. Then its good to keep them under visual guidelines of a teacher to increase their skills.

I still remember one of my teacher in my school allowed us to sit in ground under the tree and practiced different mathematical problems. It doesn't mean we don't have classes to sit, this way of practicing used to increase our interest to learn, think and also trees around us gave the peace of mind to concentrate. Technology can't give us this kind of experience while increasing the knowledge.

Instead of providing a electronic device to every student in class, increasing resource for a teacher to demonstrate in a class will make a class as smart class. Technology shouldn't affect basic level education of a student. Once when student got to known the basics, minimum values, advantages and disadvantages of electronic devices and technology then we have to support with guidelines and let them use it.

Freedom is letting them learn, develop their personality and live how they want. Instead of providing what all they like, we should provide what they need. Letting them to live is better then making their brains to run.
